Space &
So at first I was thinking about drawing something represents loneliness or isolation. I do know I want to have the figure in some specific environment. Their facial expression is not really matter.
Some ideas came to me, such as someone falling into the ocean or tourist visiting a gallery. Then I went with the idea that a person sitting in the bus station, I realized I can go with the idea of "waiting" the first time. |

TopicSo I came out some ideas for "waiting"
1. Kid waiting the tree to grow 2. Woman waiting to give birth 3. Waiting to sleep 4. Waiting for someone to show up 5. Waiting in a line 6. Waiting for text 7. Waiting computer to finish loading |

Something &
Then I realized it is always about waiting someone or waiting something.
So I finally chose two drawings to present these two situations, which is a person waiting for the bus, and a person waiting outside of the operation room. Waiting to sleep is another good option a well, but it is hard to show someone can't sleep without showing one's facial expression. |

StyleI used the bus station one to experience with style choice.
1. So at first I just simply draw a detail version of it. 2. Put color for each section. At first I thought it would be at night. 3. Experienced with possible mood and rendering of this image. 4. Tried to isolate the figure even more. 5. Tried black and white. I have thought about hand drawing on tracing paper as well, but then I decide I want to put digital animation to it. |

FinalI have chosen the style finally, and applied them to the hospital piece as well.
The final touch is adding the loading circle to them. And the result is here. concept description. |
